Q - I entered the license code and it still says DEMO. What's up?
A - Make sure you enter your name, email and license code EXACTLY as shown in the purchase email. It must be exact! Sometimes there's some differences with international keyboards. The best way is to simply copy and paste from the purchase email.
Q - Where can I find my license info?
A - Go to the My Licenses page, fill in your email address and hit Submit, and we'll send your licenses to that email address.
Q - How many computers can I install on?
A - You can install our products on as many computers as you like just as long as YOU are the only user. We understand that many of you (us too!) have a studio machine and a gigging laptop or similar, so we want to make your productions easier.
Q - What's the deal with your copy protection?
A - We send you a license code that you enter into your product and that's it. No internet connection needed after your purchase. No phoning home. No iLok.
Blue3
Q - Why do I hear distortion even when the Drive control is turned all the way down?
A - The Transformers control adds it's own saturation to the signal chain. Turn if down it you'd rather keep it clean.
Q - Why do I hear a lot of noise when I'm not playing?
A - The Noise control adds amplifier hiss, motor hum and rotary motor ambient noises to the output signal for an added sense of realism. Turn it down if you'd rather have a clean and pristine output signal.
Q - Can I use Blue3's rotary simulation with an external input?
A - Kinda. Blue3 doesn't have an audio input, but Blue3 includes Spin. Spin combines the Tube Overdrive and Rotary Cabinet simulations from Blue3 in a separate plugin that you can route any audio you'd like through. It's like sending your audio through a vintage 122/147 cabinet. Try it. It sounds awesome on guitars, electric pianos, vocals or anything else. Spin is included with Blue3, but also available as a separate purchase for those that don't need a full B3 organ.
Q - Where did the blue UI go?
A - Sorry, the original blue UI is gone. Nearly everyone wanted the look and feel of the real instrument. Honestly, I don't know what we were thinking to begin with. Possible new slogan: "Blue3 v2: Less blue, more wood." Whataya think?
Spin
Q - Why do I hear a lot of noise when I'm not playing?
A - The Noise control adds amplifier hiss, motor hum and rotary motor ambient noises to the output signal for an added sense of realism. Turn it down if you'd rather have a clean and pristine output signal.
Q - Is Spin's input mono or stereo?
A - Both. You can insert Spin on a mono track and it will turn it into stereo. If you insert Spin on a stereo track, it will sum left and right channels to mono before running it through it's rotary speaker, turning into a stereo output.
